A lemon tree is bearing fruit in Brainerd today. The tree is owned by C.F. Peterson, 413 Thirteenth Street Southeast. His lemon tree bears fruit every year, usually in the wintertime.
80 years ago (1928)
The snow plows continue to keep busy. The highway department, with headquarters in Brainerd, sends out its plows to widen cuts and bring trunk highways to standard widths. The work of the department is appreciated by every motorist and sleigh owner.
100 years ago (1908)
The YMCA has received its new game of Cue Roque and is now in place in the game room. It bids fair to prove a great attraction.
