Shaw fired

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings fired defensive coordinator Willie Shaw after the Vikings' defense finished the 2002 season ranked 26th in the NFL, coach Mike Tice said.
Assistant head coach George O'Leary will replace Shaw, Tice confirmed Tuesday. Tice traveled to San Francisco Tuesday to meet with Shaw.
