Lucille Viola Thomson, 92, Brainerd, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Bellvue, Iowa, to William and Emma (Millman) Oberman. Her family moved to a farm near Turtle Lake. She married John Gerhardt in 1942 in Minneapolis. They moved to the Brainerd area in the early 1950s. Her husband died in 1960. She married Leland Thomson in 1967. He died in 1990. She worked at Madden's Resort and Breezy Point for many years. She was a resident of Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd for three years.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Bredemann, Salt Lake City, Utah; three sons, John Gerhardt, Brainerd, William Gerhardt, Minneapolis, and James Gerhardt, Brainerd; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Her first and second husbands; a son, Fred Gerhardt; a sister, Helen; and a brother, Alvin, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake. Memorials are preferred to Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and an hour before services Friday at the village chapel.
