Bemidji girls defeat Little Falls by 24

BEMIDJI -- Bemidji wore down the Little Falls girls' basketball team for a 68-44 win Saturday.

"We were still in it with six minutes left," said Little Falls coach Joe Davich. "We were down by eight and had the ball. We just couldn't do anything."

Outscored in every quarter and struggling from both the field and the line, Little Falls just couldn't compete, especially when one of its top players, Rachel Davich, fouled out. Davich led the Flyers with 19 points and LeMieur 13.

UNDERWOOD -- The Menahga Braves downed the Verndale Pirates 68-36 Saturday night in a Park Region Conference girls' basketball game.

Verndale was led by Steph Tomte who had 10 points and eight rebounds. The Braves limited the Pirates to only 23 shots all night.
