Floyd O. Dettbarn

Floyd O. Dettbarn, 77, Brainerd, and formerly of Lake Shore, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

He was born May 14, 1923, in Hubbard, Iowa, to Frank and Emma (Dubberke) Dettbarn. He married Muriel Montz on July 4, 1944, in Hubbard, Iowa.

Survivors include a son, Steven Dettbarn, Brainerd; a daughter, Nancy Elkins, Brainerd; six grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Dettbarn, Radcliff, Iowa; and a special friend, Marie Philippy.

His wife; two sons, Robert and David; two brothers; and a sister died earlier.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel in Brainerd with Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa.

Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel in Brainerd.
