CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- Marvin O. Muhl, 76, Cheyenne, Wyo., and formerly of the Brainerd area, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, in Cheyenne.
He was born March 24, 1923 in Ghent. His family farmed in the Ghent area. He attended schools in Lyon County and graduated from Marshall High School in 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He attended the University of Minnesota, studying Aeronautical and Civil Engineering. He married Elinor Porter on July 9, 1949, in Ann Arbor, Mich. He worked for Twin City Testing and Engineering Laboratory in St. Paul for several years. He owned Muhl's Island View Lodge in Crosslake during the 1950s and 1960s. He also lived in the Aitkin area where he had a cattle operation. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara MacKenzie, Pine Bluffs, and Lucy Tschacher, Riverton; three grandchildren; and a sister, Hannah Rosvold, Cottonwood.
Services were recently conducted at Ascension Lutheran Church with the Rev. Duane Ferchen officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery of Lindbergh, Wyo.
