Lydia "Ronnie" A. Hartman, 93, of Brainerd, died Jan. 4, 2004, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
She was born in Nacora, Neb., Aug. 15, 1910, to Peter and Augusta Ronnfeldt. She attended country school for eight years then graduated from high school in Emerson, Neb. She then went to Omaha, Neb., and graduated from nurse's training at the Methodist Episcopal Hospital. She married Robert Hartman in 1932 and they lived in Omaha until 1951 when they moved to Brainerd, Minn. She then worked as a nurse for the Northern Pacific Railroad for more than 20 years. She is a member of the Eastern Star of Omaha and First Lutheran Church of Brainerd.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife Kay, of Longmont, Colo., and Daryl (Butch) and his wife Kitty, of Brainerd; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband Robert, her parents, one sister, five brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with the Rev. Andy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation times are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
