PIERZ -- Peter P. Kaiser, 84, Pierz, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home of Pierz.
He was born Aug. 13, 1915, in Royalton to Paul and Francis (Cekalla) Kaiser. He attended country school in Royalton. He entered the Army in 1940, serving as corporal technician in England, France and Italy. He was discharged in 1945. He married Darlyn Dahlberg on Sept. 20, 1952, in St. Mary's Parish in St. Paul. They lived in St. Paul where he worked for Armour Meat Packing Co. for more than 30 years. He retired in 1978 and moved to Pierz.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Kaiser and Douglas Kaiser, both of West St. Paul; a brother, Jim Kaiser, Black Duck; and four sisters, Eleanor Trushenski, Minneapolis, Adeline Yankowiak, Mora, Marie Haley, Foley, and Deloris Mass, Crosby.
Three brothers, Tony, Clarence and Aloise Kaiser, and three sisters, Leona Gonsior, Rose LaFore and Loretta Fitzpatrick, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Pierz with the Rev. Kenneth Brenny officiating. Burial will be in Minnesota Veterans Cemetery of Little Falls.
Friends may call at Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel of Pierz from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, with parish prayers at 6:30 p.m., and from 8-10 a.m. Monday.
