DETROIT LAKES -- The Detroit Lakes Lakers defeated the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 8-2 in Mid-State Conference boys' hockey Thursday.

W-DC junior tricaptain Kyle Davis scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season. Goalie Mike Sartori made 18 saves as the Wolverines slipped to 5-5-0 overall.
