DENVER (AP) -- Justin Morrison broke a scoreless tie midway through the second period and fourth-ranked Colorado College went on to defeat No. 14 Denver 4-1 Friday.
Colin Zulianello had 26 saves for Colorado College (14-4-1, 9-4-0 WCHA) while Wade Dubielewicz had 27 saves for Denver (11-8-2, 8-6-1).
Both teams had five power-play opportunities, but Morrison's goal for Colorado College at 9:34 in the second period was the only time either school cashed in on the chance.
Alex Kim scored seven minutes later to give Colorado College a 2-0 lead.
Kelly Popadynetz scored Denver's only goal, his 10th of the season, at 2:26 in the second. Joe Cullen scored five minutes later and Jesse Heerema put in an empty-net goal at 19:02 in the third.
