Brainerd firefighters respond to three calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three calls Friday and Saturday.

The first call was at 11:22 a.m. Friday to Heartland Tire Service, 1945 S.E. 13th St. Smoke was caused by a burner used to process tires.

At 4:47 p.m. Friday, firefighters were called to Lexington Manufacturing, 10055 Thiesse Road, to a fire in the silo.

At 5:08 a.m. Saturday, the department was called to a garage fire at 11012 East Gull Lake Drive, in East Gull Lake. The detached garage, owned by Robin and Cinda Conklin, was a total loss. Twenty-six firefighters were on the scene for nearly four hours.

Deerwood firefighters respond to call

DEERWOOD - The Deerwood Fire Department was called at 1:30 p.m. Friday to a call at 21901 Reno Lake Road in Deerwood. It was reported that a bucket of ashes caught fire.
