The Cass County Council on Aging is offering a trip to the "Old Log Theater" in Excelsior on Thursday, Jan. 27, to see a matinee performance of the new comedy "Cash on Delivery."
The total cost of the trip is $43 ($22.50 for the luncheon and the play and $20.50 for the bus fare). The luncheon will consist of a roast chicken dinner.
"Cash on Delivery" is a British farce concerning a con artist who has duped the welfare authorities for years by claiming every type of benefit for the several imaginary people he claims live at his address. When welfare investigators show up at his doorstep, things become uproariously funny.
Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Send a check for $43 per person to the Cass County Council on Aging, P.O. Box 3000, Walker, MN 56484, or call 547-7414 or 1-888-547-3301, extension 414, for more information. Participants do not have a confirmed reservation until the council receives a check.
