Frantti to speak at Brainerd Laestadian Lutheran
Pastor Jim Frantti, Chassel, Mich., will be a guest speaker at the Brainerd Laestadian Lutheran Church worship services Sunday. Christmas concert to be presented
The public is invited to the Twelfth Night of Christmas concert 7 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 415 Juniper, Brainerd.
Featured will be soloists Sarah Aamot Lundin, soprano, and Michael Lundin, bass, organ and piano duets by Grace Forbord and Laura Raedeke, the Central Lakes College Brass Choir, a string quartet, a flute and organ duet and Hans Blix and the Weapons Inspectors as well as a chorale ensemble directed by Sarah Aamot Lundin.

'Are We There Yet?' program planned
The sixth to eighth grade Sunday school students will be presenting an Epiphany program, "Are We There Yet?" at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 220 N 8th Street, Brainerd.
Brainerd Lakes Ministerial Association to meet
NISSWA - The Brainerd Lakes Ministerial Association will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. A light lunch will be served. The program will include representatives of the Brainerd School District.
The pastors will explore and discuss ways in which the faith community may partner with the school district to provide resources and support for the school and the community. We will be considering the impact that the transitions which are occurring in our school system have on all aspects of our community. All area clergy are encouraged to attend.
Trinity Lutheran to install officers
Trinity Lutheran Church of Brainerd will have a service of installation on Sunday for the new officers on the Trinity Vision Council. The installation will be conducted at both the 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. The officers will be hosting the coffee hour between services.
Officers to be installed for 2008 are president Tony Jensvold; vice president, Doug Johnson; secretary, Julie Anderson; treasurer, Don Stang; and council members, Ron Hart, Tina Landsburg, Sandy O'Day, Tracy Jeremiason and Rich Kangas. Pastor Dave Holte and Pastor Hans Anderson will conduct the installation.
Brainerd Lakes Area Women Connection to meet
The Brainerd Lakes Area Women Connection will meet from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday at the Red Roof Inn in Brainerd. Speaker will be Jodie Sellers.
