LITTLE FALLS -- James "Jim" C. Magee Sr. ,84, Little Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 2, news, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
He was born April 19, 1915, to John and Nellie (Krych) Magee in Red Lake Falls. He moved with his parents to Little Falls as a child. He married Florence Reintjes in Little Falls in 1937. They raised five children. He worked for the Musser family as a chauffeur, as a machinist for Rayme Brick and worked 33 years for MPL, retiring in 1977. He and his wife also owned and operated Magee's Grocery Store in northeast Little Falls for 17 years.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Magee, Valley City, N.D., Jim Magee, Minneapolis, John Magee, Maplewood; two daughters, Patricia Johnsen, Alexandria, Mary LaFond, Northfield; two brothers, Tom Magee, Ortonville, Lester Magee, Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
His wife, a sister and a step brother died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Brenny Funeral Home West Chapel in Little Falls and from 9 a.m. until the service hour Thursday at the funeral home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
