Vernon Wagner

BAXTER -- Vernon M. Wagner, 65, 951 Kingwood Drive, Baxter, died Sunday, Jan. 2, news, at his home.

He was born Jan. 19, 1934, in Verndale to George and Floy (Chick) Wagner. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1954. He married Joyce Theien on Dec. 3, 1960, in Brainerd. Through the years, he was a driver/salesman for Meyer Cleaners, Land O'Lakes and Great Plains Gas Co. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a former member of the Baxter Snowmobile Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Craig, Baxter; a daughter, Kristin, Merrifield; four grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Wagner, Kearney, Neb.

His parents and a brother, James, died earlier.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Brainerd with Pastor Brian Wermager officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
