The skis are waxed, the trails are all cleared and only one obstacle stands between Crow Wing County skiers and their favorite pastime. There's not enough snow. The preparations made for many winter sports have, to this point, been all for naught.

The Brainerd School Board approved schematic drawings for an addition which will more than double the size of the Area Technical Vocational School.

Superintendent Roy T. Noonan, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension announced the appointment of Willard B. Morris, 1635 South 6th Street, Brainerd, as police training supervisor for Minnesota.
60 years ago (1940)
The Crow Wing County Board of Commissioners have granted permission to erect a bronze tablet, upon which is inscribed the Ten Commandments and the New Testament summary, on the east side wall, just inside the foyer of the local Courthouse.
80 years ago (1920)
The cold wave which struck Brainerd and Crow Wing County and raised havoc with fuel supplies has moderated and a warmer spell may be looked for.
100 years ago (1900)
