Darrel J. Kapus

LITTLE FALLS -- Darrel Joseph Kapus, 39, Little Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at his home in Green Prairie Township.

He was born Dec. 21, 1963, in Little Falls to John and Helen (Marcyes) Kapus. He attended and graduated from Little Falls High School with the class of 1982. He worked for Cenex Oil and Dobis Tire in Little Falls. He married Katie A. Hirsch on June 6, 1987, in Little Falls. They lived in the Little Falls area, and most recently north of Little Falls in Green Prairie Township. He was working for Central Specialties in Alexandria as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter, Tyler and Lindsay Kapus, both at home; his parents; three brothers, Duane Kapus, Eugene Kapus and Lyle Kapus, all of Little Falls; and a sister, Delphine Meyer, Little Falls.

A brother, Jerome; his grandparents; and two infant sisters died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, with parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
