Diane L. Anderson

AITKIN -- Diane L. Anderson, 43, Aitkin, died Sunday, Dec. 31, news, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.

She was born April 6, 1957, in Norfolk, Va. She moved to Fargo at a young age and attended school there for a time. She then moved to the Twin Cities and attended Cooper High School. She graduated from Hopkins Eisenhower High School. She married David Anderson on Sept. 25, 1976, in Crystal. She attended nurses' school and became a licensed practical nurse. She worked fro the Trevilla Care Center in Robbinsdale until 1983. She moved with her family to Aitkin in 1988 and had lived there since. She had worked as a home health care aide in the Aitkin area. She was a member of Westside Church in Aitkin and had been active in the parent-teacher organization in Aitkin.

Survivors include her husband, David Anderson, Aitkin; a son, D.J. Anderson, at home; a daughter, Emily Anderson, at home; her mother and stepfather, Jeanne and Tom Cossette, Horace, N.D.; her father, Thomas Savageau, Chapalla, Mexico; two sisters, Debra Irvin, Bloomington, and Suzy Dietrich, Moorhead; and a brother, Tim Cossette, Fargo, N.D.

Her grandparents died earlier.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Westside Church in Aitkin with the Rev. Dallas Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Aitkin.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Church.

Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
