PINE RIVER -- Wesley J. Felber Sr., 85, Pine River, died Thursday, Dec. 28, news, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village in Pine River.
He was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Lakeville to John and Flora (Rue) Felber. He married Marian Baker Felber on Aug. 5, 1939, in St. Louis Park. He worked for the Butler Brothers Co., later known as Ben Franklin, for 45 years. He worked as a stockboy and eventually as executive vice president. They lived in Minneapolis and Chicago until 1980 when he retired and moved to Crosslake. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Outing, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, attended the Whitefish Snowgoers outings and belonged to the Crosslake Fish and Game Club. He was an active volunteer in the Crosslake Visitors Center and the food shelf.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Davis, Grand Junction, Colo.; a son, Wesley "Jack" Felber Jr., Crosslake; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Beck, Terry, Mont., and a brother, George Felber, St. Louis Park.
His wife died earlier.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with the Rev. Paul Fruth officiating. Memorials are preferred to the Paul Revere Lodge Masonic Home in St. Louis Park.
