AITKIN -- Elizabeth Hutar, 87, Aitkin, formerly of the Rice River community, died Friday, Dec. 29, news, at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.
She was born March 12, 1913, in Lawler to Mike and Fannie Huhta. She attended schools in Lawler. She married Waino Hutar in 1932 near East Lake. They lived in the East Lake area and farmed. She worked as a cook in lumber camps and worked for several years at the McGregor Agri Coop. Her husband died in 1988. She moved to the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Stinson, Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Duane, Aitkin; two sisters, Alma Ravio, Two Harbors, and Martha Anderson, Moose Lake; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband, an infant daughter, a granddaughter, a sister and two brothers died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McGregor Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Kampi officiating. Burial will be in Rice River Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at McGregor Funeral Home.
