Patriots, Flyers win tournaments

SAUK RAPIDS - Tucker Sheley scored 17 points for Class 2A's unbeaten and third-ranked Pequot Lakes Patriots as they beat the previously unbeaten Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds 55-46 to win the Minnesota Scores Tournament on Saturday.

Jon Parker scored 15 points and Jesse Fisher added 14 as the Patriots improved to 8-0 overall.

LITTLE FALLS - Phil Hochsprung netted 27 points for the Little Falls Flyers as they defeated Badger-Greenbush 61-49 to win the Little Falls holiday tournament Saturday.

Will Kornbaum and Dusty Parker each contributed 13 points for the Flyers as they improved to 4-3 overall.
