The Brainerd Bees defeated the Minneapolis Cobras 8-4 and lost to the Minneapolis Angels 10-1 in a rain shortened Cold Spring tournament Saturday.
The Bess’ Pat Skogen went 2-2 with a walk. Burrell Flanagan was 2-3 with RBI. Mark Ortega hit a two-run double and Joel Martin and Tom Fairbanks each hit RBI singles.
Tim Martin earned the win. He struck out four while allowing two walks and two earned runs on eight hits.
In game Two, Tyler Lenz was 2-3 and Ortega hit an RBI single for the Bees’ only run.
Brainerd moves to 7-8 overall.
