THIEF RIVER FALLS — It took five hard fought games, but the Central Lakes Raiders pulled out their fourth division win with a 3-2 win over Northland on Wednesday night.
Crysta Christensen and Lindsay Monson each pounded down 15 kills and Tiffany Hartung collected 33 set assists for CLC.
The Raiders, ranked 10th in NJCAA Division III, won their eighth straight match.
Sarah Miller scooped out 27 digs and Carlie Sweet and Alanna Hansen each collected five blocks.
“They were some hard fought games as we didn’t play very consistent,” said head coach Jane Peterson. “It was a real joy to dominate at the end as we were ahead the whole time. It would have been great if we could be that team the whole time.
“We were effective blockers. Northland’s outside hitter was hitter of the week and she was not effective tonight. We served and passed well and any coach will tell you that is a great combination.”
