DULUTH — Brainerd High School graduate Colby Ring made 10 tackles as the University of Minnesota-Duluth defeated Winona State 38-16 in its home opener Saturday.
A crowd of 5,055 at James Malosky Stadium saw the No. 2-ranked Bulldogs improve to 2-0 and extend their NSIC home winning streak to 35 games.
The Bulldogs continue their quest for a fifth straight NSIC championship next Saturday when they travel to Concordia University-St. Paul for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
