ALEXANDRIA - Jenny Muesing fired an 87 for fourth place overall to lead Brainerd as the Warriors finished seventh with a score of 393 at the Alexandria Invite Monday.

The Brainerd Warriors are seeded second in the North Subsection 8-2A team tournament Tuesday, May 21, at Fitness Evolution in Sartell. No. 3 Bemidji will play No. 6 Moorhead at 9 a.m. The winner plays Brainerd at approximately 1 p.m.

NASCAR is coming to Brainerd International Raceway Memorial Day weekend, highlighting three days of racing action during the fifth annual Street Car Showdown.

The Brainerd Warriors junior varsity played two 5-inning games against Cloquet on Saturday. In Game One, the Warriors trailed 8-2 after the first inning, but battled back to take a 9-8 lead going into the bottom of the fifth before losing 10-9.

The Brainerd Warrior girls swimming and diving team will bag groceries at the East Brainerd Cub Foods during Memorial Day weekend. Members of the 2013 team will bag groceries on Friday, May 24, from 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
