ST. CLOUD — The seventh annual Starz of Tomorrow Baseball Academy Holiday Camp is scheduled Dec. 26-27 in the St. Cloud State University Husky Dome.
The camp is an opportunity for players to get a jump start on the upcoming season as well as improve their basic skill level.
The specialty camp will emphasize hitting and fundamental skill development drills for infield, outfield, pitching and catching. The camp will be conducted through verbal instruction and visual demonstration.
Camps are open to players ages 7-18. Cost is $75 for the two-day commuter camp, $100 for the two-day overnight stay camp, $50 for the commuter one-day camp and an additional $25 if you would like to be included in the camp’s prospect showcase.
Instruction will be provided by the St. Cloud State University baseball staff and current and former SCSU players.
The camp will include an overnight feature at the GrandStay Hotel in downtown St. Cloud. For only $25 extra, campers will receive lodging, a team dinner and team breakfast.
■ Sandlot Series
The Husky Dome Sandlot Series is scheduled on Mondays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. during January, February and March.
The Series is open to players in grades 2-6. This camp allows participants to play in actual games in the dome along with practice sessions that stress the game’s fundamentals and tactics.
