COLD SPRING — The Brainerd Bees lost all three of their games, all three of which were seven innings, in last weekend’s Cold Spring tournament.
In a 5-4 loss to Austin, Tim Martin took the loss. He allowed five runs (four earned) and 10 hits with four strikeouts in a complete game. At the plate, Martin was 1-2 with a sacrifice fly. Pat Skogen went 1-3 with an RBI and Tom Fairbanks was 1-4 with an RBI.
The Bees lost to the Minneapolis Cobras 5-2. Blake Peterson pitched all seven innings. He allowed seven hits and five runs (four earned) with four strikeouts and six walks. Tyler Lenz and Troy Lenz singled for the Bees’ only hits.
In a 10-3 loss to Marshall, Joel Martin pitched a complete game. He allowed 10 hits but just four earned runs. Martin was 4-4 at bat with an RBI. Burrell Flanagan went 2-3 and Fairbanks doubled.
