Southie

Or the sports writers are twitting on the front page online
called "on the fly".
They have been busy twitting.
The score at half is 36-34 Brd

Edit: If you scroll down on the twitter feed, they have two pictures
of the Brd fans.

I agree

We were wondering how they pick the refs, if there are out-state and city ones.

The do like to call fouls on BRD.
Apparently, the Jones kid is wearing pink shoes.

Sadie

The way the radio sounded the refs were letting AV get away with alot. I hope the guys keep their heads up. They went alot farther than alot of other teams.

P.S. We must have a fan club too by all the reds on this one ehh??

Mayhem

Yes, maybe some Apple Valley people didn't like our comments. That goes for all of us as Southie has thumbs down also. Can't even comment on a basketball game.

The non seeding of Brainerd is another issue, if you haven't, read the article in todays paper by a sports guy.

This is a great two weeks for sports.
Next the great Gopher BB game on Friday night.
Don't know how they got in there but, now we are ready.
Also, the St. Cloud Huskies Hockey and the Gopher Hockey games are coming up, both with good teams. WCHA.
Happy for the Huskies as they won the McNaughton Cup.

Edit: Changed what the Huskies won. Must have been a senior moment.

I did read it

In the paper. Good write. The Gophers BB is another story now. I hope I'm wrong but they wont get far. They should be in the NIT. I'm more of a football guy so I'm really bad on the hockey. I will be paying Att to the Gophers football this year. My buddy from back home has his 6.8 285lb son playing.

Tubby

gets a $100,000 bonus for making the NCAA tournament.
Ouch. He should be fired. He has a few years left on his contract. You're right he has been retired for a few years and is training in Saul, the son.

Two things.

First, those refs are from the twin cities and there's a 99% chance they are liberals. Second, the government couldn't even make money with a w**** (chicken ranch) house in Nevada. As a bonus, the twitter twins both qualify for losing.

Good grief, 81 to 67, and

Good grief, 81 to 67, and some are crying about the refs? Get a life and quit making excuses. That is what society today is coming to, its always somebody's fault. They got their rears kicked, live with it.

Did you listen to the game? We are only going by what Colin the announcer told us . Not making excuses and I don't think the players or the coach will either. The Warriors were very competitive against the #1 rated Apple Valley team.

If you are rated #1 in the state, you do get some calls.
Me thinks you may not have heard the game on the radio.
They were in it and were ahead at half time.

How is the French modeling going?

They were right in there

Until well after the half MotleyLarry. Tie game with a bit more than 9 minutes to the end. Problem was, at that point they went scoreless for around 5 minutes straight--while apple valley reeled off quite a few points.

It sounded to me like Brainerd was being pretty darn tough with AV as well. Sure would have been nice if it had been on TV, could have at least taped it.

Didn't see any article on the seeding but I had a few questions about that.

Would be nice if they could play a level lower, but that's one of the prices of the huge enrollment in the Brainerd school district. As many kids in each grade as there are total in many towns around us! 500+ I believe.

FNB, did your mommy ever tire of you calling her and anyone else who you didn't like a liberal? I feel for her, she appears to have had a real tough one on her hands!

Actually my Mom and Dad

always voted Democrat. Before Dad died he said the last person on earth he'd vote for was that "Lying Barak Obama".
My Mom voted for him and told me she was sorry she hadn't listened to my Dad and me in less than a year.
Rino did you just say I didn't like my Mother?

Congratulations

To the Team and Coaches for doing a great job. The expierence of state competition will be something they will not soon forget. Seems the coaching staff is bringing up and teaching some great players. Apple Valley is a strong competitor and if you look at the stats of some of the players they (AV) have it would remind a person not of High School players but good college level. Lets let the team know what a great job they have done all season.

Pretty in Pink...

Seriously...Good job boys, you made it to the big show and whatever happens after is a plus. You can say that you were able to measure up to the number one rated team in the state in your final game of the year or High School career under the bright city lights. Good job once again...Good job to all Warrior athletes for being such good ambassadors for your school and community.

Motley

You obviously didn't listen to the game. It was tied with 6 mins to go. These boys played #1 AV to the end. If you would ever have pulled yourself away from your computer screen and had gone to a game, you would have seen how this team plays BB. Unless you have the courage to stand in front of these boys and spout off about a butt-kicking, I suggest you keep your criticism to yourself.

My bad, I thought they got beat by 14 points, must have misread the article. The point was, don't always blame someone else.
