Minnesota Association of Dance Teams held its annual awards event March 8 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Plymouth.
Brainerd received the Class 3A Sportsmanship Award, which is selected by coaches.
Ali Clough of Brainerd won the 3A assistant coach of the year award.
Brainerd alumni who are now coaches also won awards at the event.
Former Brainerd captain Marny Olsen Rohr, currently a coach at Austin, won the 2A assistant coach of the year award.
Former Brainerd dancer Lea Hall Frank, currently head coach at Rocori, won the rookie coach of the year award, an award presented to only one coach from all three classes.
