Isaac Wannebo of Manhattan Beach won the studded tire class in Saturday’s ice racing competition on Pine Lake south of Crosslake.

Matt Borden of Merrifield finished in second ahead of Shawn Pratt.

Eight-year-old Jake Borden won the 15-and-under class with Sarah Hines of Randall in second and Connor Pratt third.

Matt Borden claimed the rubber tire class followed by Shawn Pratt in second and Dylan Nelson in third.

Ice racing is scheduled until March 9 depending on ice conditions. There is no admission to watch the races. There is a plowed spectator parking area on the lake in front of the Cedar Chest. The public water access to Big Pine is 1/4 miles east of County Road 3 on Big Pine Trail.
