WADENA — Ben Moe turned in a hat trick to lead the Northern Lakes Lightning past the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 7-2 in a Mid-State Conference game Thursday.

Netting two goals apiece were Nick Blanchette and Kegan Couture.

Scoring for the Wolverines were Bridger Pettit and Mike Paavola.

Mitch Stangel picked up the win in net for Northern Lakes making 23 saves.

LITTLE FALLS — Spencer Fenske racked up five points with a pair of goals and three assists to lead Class 1A’s 12th ranked Little Falls Flyers to a 7-2 win over the Mora/Hinckley-Finlayson Mustangs in Thursday’s Granite Ridge Conference game.

Taylor Kottschade also netted two goals while Matthew Stumpf, Austin Bjorge and Ben Newman each scored once.

Michael Stumpf turned aside all seven shots he faced through two periods before giving way in net to JD Jopp, who stopped two of four in the third stanza.
