Area Girls Basketball: Cardinals cruise to fifth-straight win

STAPLES — Kelly Pearson’s 18 points led 11 Staples-Motley Cardinals scorers during Tuesday’s 86-38 non-conference win over the Pierz Pioneers.

Jasmine McGillivray added 16 and Kaitlin Spar 11 for Class 2A’s seventh-ranked Cardinals, who have won five straight games.

Megan Boser led Pierz with nine points, while Mickey Rocheleau contributed seven points and 11 rebounds.
