AREA BOYS BASKETBALL: Redmond's basket at buzzer lifts Pequot Lakes

PEQUOT LAKES — Jordan Redmond scored the winning shot with one second on the clock to secure a 54-52 victory for the Pequot Lakes Patriots against the Staples-Motley Cardinals in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday.

Tyler Tappe added 10 points for Pequot, which has won two of its last three games.

Seth Auger scored 15 points and Kyle Jansson followed with 14 for S-M, who beat Pequot Lakes 61-58 in overtime Jan. 4, but have lost the last three games.
