Warriors rebound from first loss, handle Elk River
Marcus Comstock scored 20 points and Jack Sauer 18 and the Brainerd Warriors bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 57-36 win over Elk River in a Section 8-4A game Saturday afternoon at Brainerd High School.
The Elks entered the game as the No. 1 team in the section with Brainerd second.
Brainerd, which led 29-15 at halftime, registered its 15th win in 16 games this season.
It was a physical, ragged game, as the teams combined to commit 38 fouls and 59 turnovers.
The Warriors play at St. Cloud Tech Tuesday night.
