ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Former Brainerd High School hockey player Julius Tamasy of Nazareth College has been honored as the ECAC West Player of the Week ending Jan. 27.
The sophomore forward scored two goals and added an assist Jan. 25 as the Golden Flyers recorded their first-ever ECAC West victory with a 6-4 upset of 11th-ranked Manhattanville. Tamasy ranks second on the team in scoring with 18 points on five goals and a team-best 13 assists.
Nazareth, 6-12-1 overall and 1-8 in the ECAC West, hosts Elmira at 7 p.m. Friday and visits Elmira at 7 p.m. Saturday.
