The Flying Warriors came close to picking up their third win of the season on Parents Night Tuesday, but the Willmar Cardinals scored twice in the final period to overcome Brainerd/Little Falls 3-1 in a Central Lakes Conference game at Brainerd Civic Center.
Kristina Anderson tallied the goal for the Flying Warriors for a 1-0 lead in the first with assists from C.J. Kendal and Emily Stark.
Goalie Sara Wennerstrand made 10 saves for B/LF.
