With runs of 88.33 and 89.0, Longville’s Levi LaVallee captured Winter X Games gold Thursday in the snowmobile freestyle.
The 30-year-old known as launchin’ Levi, beat out Joe Parsons, who finished second with an 88.66.
LaVallee’s gold comes after a two-year absence from the X games. He will also compete in the Snowmobile Best Trick, SnoCross and Speed & Style events.
Pillager’s Mike Schultz is an invited athlete to compete in the snowmobile SnoCross Adaptive event.
The Speed and Style seeding will be 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday followed by the finals at 2-3 p.m. Saturday.
The SnoCross Adaptive final will be 12:15-12:30 p.m. Sunday.
The SnoCross round one and final will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday and the Best Trick final will be 6-6:45 p.m. Sunday.
