Girls Basketball: Poor shooting dooms Warriors

MOORHEAD — Katelyn Johnson scored 13 points to lead the Brainerd Warriors in Thursday’s 77-50 loss to Section 8-4A opponent Moorhead.

Ten Warriors found the scoring column despite shooting just 26 percent from the field.

“Moorhead just came out and jumped on us,” Warriors head coach Brian McCallister said. “They shot 65 percent from the floor in the first half,”

The loss was Brainerd’s ninth straight.
