AREA BOYS BASKETBALL: Ziegler's 26 points, 15 rebounds lift Pillager

PILLAGER — EJ Ziegler collected 26 points and 15 rebounds to lead Pillager to a 75-57 win over Verndale in a Park Region Conference matchup Tuesday.

Connor Uselman totaled 12 points, and Devin Strack and Aaron Jacobson each finished with 11 for the Huskies.

Dallas Ehrmantraut led Verndale with 14 points. Erica Blaha was right behind him with 13.

The Pirates saw their conference-leading record drop to 4-2, while Pillager improved to 4-2 in conference play.

AITKIN — Nathan Ehnstrom scored a game-high 26 points, including 12 from behind the arc, as the Aitkin Gobblers defeated Pine City 58-49 in a Great River Conference game on Tuesday.

The Gobblers showed improvement at the foul line where they finished 8-8. Dan Bender also hit double figures with 12 points as the Gobblers evened their conference record at 4-4.
