ALEXANDRIA — Reno Fussy turned in the only score of the night, a first-period goal with an assist from Mason Severson, to give the Brainerd Warriors a 1-0 win over the Alexandria Cardinals in Tuesday’s Central Lakes Conference game.
The Warriors are 6-2 in the conference and remain tied for first with St. Cloud Tech.
Goalie Kyle Helmberger rejected all 22 shots he faced while Brainerd peppered Alexandria goalie Ben Allen with 51 shots.
The win was the seventh straight for the Warriors and avenged a 4-3 loss to the Cards Dec. 6 in Brainerd.
