AREA GIRLS BASKETBALL: Miller, Patriots defeat Wadena-DC

PEQUOT LAKES — Kayla Miller led the Patriots with 20 points as Pequot Lakes defeated the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 60-52 in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday.

Jessica Kreitz added 15 points and 11 rebounds while Haley Wiebolt finished with 11 points and Vanessa Lane contributed 10 rebounds and six points for the Patriots.

Emily Miron’s 28 points and Caitlin Volkmann’s 21 accounted for all but three of the Wolverines’ points.
