Paulson, Gobblers have seventh straight victory

AITKIN — Melissa Paulson led the Aitkin Gobblers to a seventh straight victory with 18 points as they beat the Proctor Rails in a non-conference game Monday 68-46.

Madison Newton scored 14 points and Bailey Nordean followed with 10 points for the 10-2 Gobblers.

SEBEKA — Vanessa Lane’s team-high of 24 points and 11 rebounds helped lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to an 82-56 non-conference win against the Sebeka Trojans Monday after its worst defeat of the season to Esko (38 points) on Saturday.

Kayla Miller followed closely with 22 points, Katie White added 12 points and Jessica Kretz scored 10 points for the Patriots who beat Sebeka Dec. 27 86-47 in the first round of the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley holiday tournament.
