Area Boys Basketball: Ziegler, Pillager post 20-point win

PILLAGER — EJ Ziegler tallied 21 points and 18 rebounds in the Pillager Huskies 92-72 victory over the winless Sebeka Trojans in Thursday’s Park Region Conference game.

Devin Strack led all scorers with 24 points including five 3-pointers. Conner Uselman and Aaron Jacobson each added 14 points.

VERNDALE — Despite Dallas Ehrmantraut sinking six 3-point shots and scoring 30 points, the Verndale Pirates lost a Park Region Conference game 82-70 the the Henning Hornets Thursday.

James Kveton added 16 points followed by Josh Gilb‘s 14 for the 5-3 Pirates.

DEER RIVER — The Crosby-Ironton Rangers’ six-game winning streak came to an end Thursday with a 58-56 loss to Deer River.

Will Goodwin led the Rangers with 17 points and Riley Jacobs added 15. Daniel Hudrlik finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
