BREEZY POINT — Dylan Phillips hit a power-play goal and found an empty net in the final minute to propel the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines past the Northern Lakes Lightning 4-2 in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday.
Adding goals for the Wolverines were Christian Berg and Cory McManigle. Mike Behl made two assists.
Gaven Bickford and Kegan Couture scored first period goals for the Lightning, who had won three in a row.
Goalie Wesley Johnson made 19 saves for WDC. Mitch Stangel blocked 15 for the Lightning.

LITTLE FALLS — Ben Newman tallied three goals and three assists as Class 1A’s 10th-ranked Little Falls Flyers rolled past the Becker-Big Lake Bulldogs 10-0 in Tuesday’s non-conference game.
Senior JD Jopp made 11 saves in net to register the shutout and Little Falls outshot the Bulldogs 49-11.
Austin Bjorge added two goals for the 6-1 Flyers, while Matthew Stumpf, Luke Majerle, Nathan Adamietz, Jack Schulte and Thomas Miller each scored once.
Newman and Miller connected on short-handed goals and Little Falls made good on three of six power plays.
