Brainerd High School graduate Joe Haeg will start at right offensive tackle for North Dakota State University when the Bison host Georgia Southern in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Division I semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday at the Fargodome.

The game is scheduled to be televised on ESPN2.

Haeg has started all 13 games for the Bison.

Friday’s semifinal will be a rematch of last year’s semifinal, won 35-7 by NDSU. The top-ranked Bison are 12-1 and Georgia Southern is 10-3.

NDSU advanced in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs last weekend after beating Wofford 14-7 in the quarterfinals.

A victory Friday would send the defending champion Bison back to Frisco, Texas, for the national championship game at noon Jan. 5. The NDSU/Southern winner will play the Eastern Washington/Sam Houston State winner.
