ST. CLOUD — Trailing 3-0 after two periods, the Warriors netted three power-play goals in the third and Adam Fischer tallied the winner in overtime to give Brainerd a 4-3 Central Lakes Conference win over the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles Tuesday.
After being outshot 29-16 in the first two stanzas, the Warriors dominated the third outshooting Apollo 16-6 with Logan Rivard knotting the score with 39 seconds left in regulation. Cole Smith and Fischer started the comeback with goals at 4:11 and 13:19.
Fisher put in the game winner unassisted less than three minutes into overtime as Brainerd rebounded from its first loss of the season and improved to 3-1-0 overall and in conference play.
Warriors’ goalie Kyle Helmberger turned aside 33 shots.
