Mark Hoge, a junior guard for the Jamestown College men’s basketball team and a Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, was named the Association of Independent Institution’s Male Athlete of the Week.
He guided the Jimmies to a 1-1 week and with his play, helped the Jimmies hold seventh-ranked William Penn, the No. 1-ranked offensive team in the NAIA with a 106 average, to 78 points in a 78-75 loss.
Hoge was 10-for-23, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and finished with 29 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
He also tallied 23 points with seven assists, three blocks and two steals in a win over Trinity Bible (N.D.).
