The Central Lakes College Raiders marked down a fourth consecutive loss after a 86-56 defeat Monday by the Concordia College Cobbers junior varsity team.
The Cobbers took possession at the opening jump and kept a steady scoring momentum throughout the entire game, never giving up the lead.
“For the first seven or eight minutes of the game we were right there,” Raiders head coach Dennis Eastman said. “Once we make a turnover though we worry and make more turnovers. We build such a deep hole.”
Lindsay Monson led scoring for the Raiders with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Taalyr Egeness added 13 points and Sierra Benning tallied 10 points.
“We have a lot of new players this year and they’re all coming from different programs and trying to mesh,” Eastman said. “We’re not communicating on the floor. It’s hard to be patient in basketball but we have a lot of talent out there and it’s going to come together.”
