ROSEMOUNT — Bethany Cressman collected 19 kills, 29 digs, 6.5 blocks and served two aces to lead the Lake Region Christian Hornets to a 3-2 victory over Owatonna in the championship game of the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools state tournament Saturday.
Marlee Moore added 16 kills, 31 digs and 10.5 blocks, while Sam Snow totaled 27 set assists. Grace Czeczok led the team in digs with 37 and Taylor Snow added 14 kills and 26 digs.
“The Hornets left it all out on the court and came out the victors,” said Lake Region head coach Lauri Snow.
Lake Region finished the year with an 18-5 total record. Bethany Cressman earned tournament Most Valuable Player honors and Sam Snow was named to the all-tournament team.
