MORA — Crosby-Ironton’s Meredith Silgen-Shannon Lundgren captured the South Subsection 7-1A doubles championship Wednesday.
Seeded second, Silgen-Lundgren upended top-seeded Sandra Steele-Kathryn Cahill of Pine City 6-2, 6-0, avenging a loss the previous day in the subsection team tournament.
Silgen-Lundgren will be the No. 1 seed from the South and will play the No. 4 seed from the North on Tuesday in the section tournament at Duluth.
Hattie Scott of Foley defeated C-I’s Gabrelle Hudrlik 6-1, 6-1, in the third-place singles match.
The top four finishers in the subsection advance to the section tournament.
